Please mark your calendar and join us for the Kick-Off Meeting (KOM) of the AF6+ Coordination Platform to be held on 2 April at SESAR Deployment Manager in Brussels.

The SESAR Deployment Manager (SDM) is establishing the SDM AF6+ Coordination Platform in the context of its ad hoc “SDM Trajectory Information Sharing and Coordination Support Initiative”. The creation of this platform was coordinated with the European Commission and formally supported by the SDM Supervisory Board at the end of 2024 and includes different activities to further support all operational stakeholders mandated to implement ATM Functionality 6 (AF6) - Initial Trajectory Information Sharing, as defined in EU IR 2021/116 Common Project One (CP1).

The Platform will provide a forum for the exchange of implementation experience, advice and best practices and will address any deployment matters arising which require the attention and/or action by the implementing stakeholders or by other entities (air and ground manufacturers, standardisation bodies, NSAs, EASA, NM…) that may be concerned by the deployment of ATM Functionality 6.

You may find further information regarding the intended objectives and modus operandi of the AF6+ Coordination Platform in the Platform’s draft Terms of References (ToR).

KOM Objectives:
Join us for a comprehensive meeting aimed at initiating collaboration and knowledge exchange among operational stakeholders having to implement AF6 and setting a first plan of support actions in view of any implementation problems.

The KOM will delve into key topics such as:

  • Discussion and acknowledgement of the AF6+ Coordination Platform ToRs;

  • The AF6 2024 Monitoring view

    : the overview of the AF6 implementation progress and planning across Operational Stakeholders fresh from the 2024 SDP Monitoring view exercise or from direct status presentation at the KOM (e.g. on the ACDLS initiative);

  • Industrial readiness

    : an overview of the assessed industrial readiness as coming out from the last EASA AF6 Industrialisation Forum (on and from the industry information provided to the SDM;

  • Implementation problematics and support / action plan

    : presentation of some implementation problematics or issues from the perspective of different implementing Stakeholders and related discussions in view to agree on any resulting (support) actions and further meetings.

This first AF6+ Coordination Platform meeting will be held only between SDM and implementing Operational Stakeholders (Airspace Users, Air Navigation Service Providers, Network Manager) to foster a constructive exchange on the implementation status and problems and needed support actions.

The meeting will be held in person at SESAR Deployment Manager HQ, Brussels. Nevertheless, for the ones unable to travel to Brussels for this meeting, a connection link will be provided.
